
Lakes
The public can enjoy fishing and boating on Lake Kedron, one of Peachtree City three beautiful lakes, while surrounded by scenic vistas and lush recreational trails. Lake Peachtree, located in the heart of Peachtree City is for the exclusive use of Peachtree City residents and their guests. Lake Mclntosh is located on the western side of Peachtree City and will serve as a water reservoir for the community. Fishing, swimming, boating, picnicking and bird watching are some of the treasures that these lakes have to offer.
Biking
In addition to over 90 miles of multi-use paths that are perfect for trail bikes, Peachtree City is establishing and marking some streets as bike friendly for street cyclists. Special bike friendly maps are available at City Hall, and the Visitors Center.
Getting Started with Geo-Caching
With over 70 hidden caches in Peachtree City and hundred more nearby, Peachtree City and its 90-mile network of multi-use paths is a geocacher’s paradise! Geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) is a worlwide game of hiding and seeking treasure. A geocacher can place a geocache in the world, pinpoint its location using GPS technology and then share the geocache’s existence and location online.
