Peachtree City is a master-planned community with over 100 miles of multi-use cart pathways that make travel throughout the city limits an easy and adventurous experience.

1. Easily traveling over 100+ miles without a car

Arguably the most fun and preferred way to get around is on the town’s signature vehicle--the golf cart! Whether you have one of your own or visit one of the many rental companies, a golf cart is all you need for a fun day in PTC. Zip through tunnels and bridges, ride lakeside and over the spillway,and have a blast discovering the city at 15 mph. Click here for golf cart info!

2. Catch a concert at “The Fred”

(Or the Frederick C. Brown Amphitheater as it’s properly known). This 2,500 seat open-air theatre is THE place to catch amazing concerts. It’s intimate, beautiful, and the talent it draws to the stage is incredible. Some 2020 headliners include Trace Adkins, Daughtry, 38 Special, and Little River Band just to name a few. Past acts have included Styx, Gladys Knight, Joan Jett, and KC and the Sunshine Band. Check out more about “The Fred” here.

3. Hang out with zombies

Yes, you heard us right. This is Walking Dead territory, and we take our walkers seriously. Many episodes were filmed right here in PTC while others were shot in neighboring towns and the Walking Dead studio is located just minutes away in Senoia, GA. Peachtree City hosts “The Camp” presented by Camp Marimac and Atlanta Movie Tours which is something all Walking Dead fans won’t want to miss, this year it is scheduled to take play May 23-24th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Convention Center. If you can’t make it to “The Camp”, be sure to check out Georgia Tour Company and Southern Hollywood Film Tour for all things TWD (and other films that may interest you movie buffs).

4. Fun on Drake

Whether it’s one of many events in town like a festival, sporting event, or outdoor movie or you’re looking to swim, bike, or just relax and catch some rays near the lake, locals know that Drake Field is the place to be.

5. Meet Manny, PTC’s resident Manatee

That’s right. A manatee. A manatee that changes outfits for the right occasions at that. Manny, a large cement manatee statue/mailbox resides on the corner of North Peachtree Parkway and Walt Banks Road and has been a permanent residence of PTC since May 2015. Since his arrival, residents and visitors have fully embraced him (and his hilarious dress up days). You haven’t been to PTC until you’ve properly visited with this cute guy.
