Atlanta Motor Speedway

Located on 887 acres in Hampton, just 25 miles south of Atlanta, Atlanta Motor Speedway is one of the country's top sports, corporate, family and entertainment venues. Since holding its first race in 1960, Atlanta Motor Speedway has become a premiere facility for multiple forms of racing in addition to a wide range of other events which have included concerts, family gatherings, business conventions and the Georgia State Fair. The track was purchased in 1990 by Bruton Smith; since then, AMS has been the beneficiary of tremendous facility improvements, starting with the addition of the 25,000-seat Elliott Grandstand. Other additions over the years include Tara Place, Tara Ballroom, the speedway office complex, Tara Clubhouse, the Earnhardt Grandstand, and the Champions Grandstand. In October 2006 Atlanta Motor Speedway added the Winners Grandstand, offering fans a great view of the front stretch and pit road. Sitting atop the Winners Grandstand is a suite called Club One, an exclusive club that offers a climate- controlled view of the entire track as well as a rooftop sight and sound observation deck.
