With more than 300 hidden caches in the immediate area, Peachtree City and its 90-mile network of multi-use paths are a geocacher's paradise – and a finalist for the Rand McNally "Best of the Road" designation as "Best for Geocaching" in 2013! Local enthusiasts range in age from 8 to 80 and search by golf cart, bicycle, car, motorcycle, canoe and kayak, as well as on foot. Geocaching is a worldwide, high-tech, treasure hunting game for all ages. A geocacher can place a geocache, pinpoint its location using GPS technology, then share the geocacher's existence and location online. Anyone with a GPS device can then seek the geocache.
