Salute the Greatest Generation and celebrate all things 1940s during the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Dixie Wing 16th annual “World War II Heritage Days”, April 27-28, 2019. The festivities will take place at the CAF Dixie Wing Historical Airpower Facility, Atlanta Regional Airport-Falcon Field, Peachtree City, Ga.
Beginning as a one-day program in 2003, WWII Heritage Days has emerged as the largest annual World War II and 1940s theme event in Georgia. It is a can’t miss experience for anyone who enjoys nostalgia, big band music, swing dance, historic aircraft and military vehicles, antique cars and vintage fashion. The program includes reenactors portraying Allied and Axis troops, Rosie the Riveter and Hollywood stars, as well as education displays and activities for school-age children.
“WWII Heritage Days is a unique experience,” said Nikki Tyler, Marketing Director of the Peachtree City Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. “It is a celebration that can inspire people of all ages and walks of life to embrace the history, culture and legacy of The Greatest Generation and we are very fortunate to have this event in Peachtree City.”
