Magnolia Arts Festival
Saturday, October 19 (10 am-7 pm) and Sunday, October 20, 2024 (12-5 pm) @ Drake FieldEach fall we look forward to this celebration of the arts. Sponsored by the Fine Arts and Crafts Entrepreneurs (FAACE), the Magnolia Fine Arts Festival selects artists and vendors representing cross-genre media, including traditional, digital, dance, jewelry, pottery, and wood. Check out the juried fine arts market, a student art exhibit, the kids’ corner and art demonstrations and live performances all weekend! Proceeds benefit Fayette County’s school arts programs. Multiverse 2024
October 18-20, 2024 @ Hilton Peachtree CityMultiverse is an annual 3-day convention for fans of science fiction, fantasy, horror, gaming, art and cosplay. In other words, the organizers promote it as “A fun-filled geeky weekend with dozens of the industry's top creators.” What’s a fan to do this weekend? Join like-minded people like you for art and themed shopping, parties, karaoke, gaming, panels, the art show, craft workshops, demonstrations, and charity fundraising. Atlanta Air Show
October 26-27 @ Falcon FieldImagine stunt pilots performing vertical rolls, loops and amazing feats of synchronicity in the sky above you. Join the final stop on the 2024 Air Dot Show Tour as the Atlanta Air Show returns to Falcon Field for an inspirational and patriotic celebration of military excellence and civilian expertise.
“We encourage folks to come out to support those who are fighting for our freedom every day,” said Chris Dirato, senior VP of Bitner Group who manages media for the air shows.
See the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, F-35A Lightning II Demo Team, F-18 Rhino Demo Team, F-15 Strike Eagle; Georgia State Patrol and pilots Greg Koontz (who narrates from the cockpit) and Grant Neilsen CAP 323. You may come away knowing what it means to see maneuvers like Neilsen’s Hammerhead or Cuban 8. Check the Air Show site for the latest on performers.
Patrons can enjoy food and beverages as well as merchandise areas placed around the show. The center stage will have a DJ, and fans will have the opportunity to hear/see interviews with the performers during the show.
